Quality Assurance (QA) & Test Engineer

Craftzing is looking for a QA & Test Engineer with a sharp eye for detail and a talent for automation. Someone who makes sure the digital products we build for top-tier clients hold up in the real world. Sounds like you? Keep on reading!

About the job

As a Test Engineer at Craftzing, you are the guardian of quality — the bridge between what we promise and what we ship. You make sure the platforms and products we build work as they should, catching issues before our clients ever do.

What sets you apart is your obsession with quality and your instinct to automate. You don't just find bugs — you build the test coverage that keeps them from coming back, and you keep the whole team confident that what goes live is solid.

What you'll do:

  • Think along with the development team and clients to understand requirements and what quality means for each product.

  • Develop and document clear, comprehensive test cases.

  • Run manual and regression testing to safeguard product quality.

  • Automate tests with Playwright to make testing faster, more reliable and repeatable.

  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to catch issues early.

  • Manage and track testing with tools like TestRail.

  • Collaborate closely with developers to support unit testing.

  • Communicate clearly with clients to capture requirements and keep them updated.

  • Flag quality risks and dependencies early, and propose pragmatic ways to address them.

Who we're looking for:

  • A sharp Test Engineer with an eye for detail and a healthy dose of pragmatism.

  • Solid hands-on experience in software testing, both manual and automated.

  • Proficiency in using test frameworks (eg. Playwright or Cypress) for test automation.

  • Experience with test management tools

  • Familiarity with integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

  • Strong manual and regression testing skills, and the ability to write clear, concise test cases.

  • Experience with API testing (Postman, Bruno,...)

  • A problem-solving mindset: you work well in a team, but you can also run with things independently and manage your own time.

  • You are interested and/or experienced in incorporating new AI-tooling into your testing workflows

  • Good communication skills.

  • Familiarity with scrum and working in an agile environment.

  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

  • You are located in Belgium.

Bonus points:

  • You have a consulting mindset and don't mind working on-site with the client from time to time.

  • You have experience in mobile/native app testing & cross device/cross browser testing

  • Experience in using monitoring tools such as Sentry, Grafana or similar

  • Extra bonus points: you have experience with load testing or security/PEN testing

You're Craftzing-material when

  • You have a genuine interest in your customer, their needs and challenges.

  • You have a real passion for quality and technology and its potential to improve work and life.

Don't worry if you can't tick all the boxes above. It's about the right mentality and the desire to learn. If you think we're the right fit for you, get in touch.
